Popular Wall Fountains Day to Day
By Mike | August 21, 2009
Water fountains have been a popular design element for centuries. Everyone loves to sit by a water fountain and watch the water. Have you noticed that practically every large city in the world has a beautiful fountain in it? Malls have them, library’s have them, even some hospitals.
Back then, the fountains were always outside like garden fountains which reach back to ancient times. You’ve undoubtedly seen many pictures of gardens with water fountains. It’s the natural thing to have in a garden or in a big place. A fountain adds a little something that simply completes the look.
Unfortunately, they have to be outside or big or whatever. It’s too much trouble and either way, you couldn’t have one. After all, even if you did get one, where would you put it?
It doesn’t matter! Today you can have fountains inside or outside, wherever you want and as many as you want! They’re easy and quick to install and there is no reason why you shouldn’t have one.
What kind of water fountain can go inside and wherever I want? How could that be easy to install, and wouldn’t that be really expensive?
Actually, you’d be surprised. The kind of fountain that I’m talking about is a wall fountain. These are the details:
1. They are surprisingly cheap.
Most wall fountains are surprisingly cheap, ranging from $100 -500. There are, of course, some that cost a lot more then that but they are very detailed and are still worth every penny.
The ones that cost the most can be up to $1,500 but that is rare and most are only around $250-500.
1 2. They look great!
They look great and can be placed in any room. They install flat against the wall easily and quickly.
3. You can get all kinds of styles.
They come in many styles and the materials they’re made of make them unique and stylish. Beautiful water fountains become the centerpiece of any room. You can get a copper wall fountain in elegant shapes and the compliment flowing water.
A) Copper
Copper also brings out and highlights natural colors of nature. Copper discolors over time into beautiful patina which is beautiful and makes it look better than ever and even further highlights the flow of water.
B) Stainless Steel
Stainless steel fountains are some of the strongest fountains that are made. Not only can they endure harsh weather they can never deteriorate or have any problem with corrosion.
Stainless steel gives a strong modern touch and feel to any room. Some are paired with slate and glass to be even more elegant. This combination is breathtakingly beautiful. The flowing water reflects from the glass and the glass reflects the light into the water which makes it sparkle and lighten the room.
Metals are often used to construct indoor wall fountains. Thin metal sheets are shaped to be ornate while they are heated.
4. Table top fountains.
For smaller places, a table top water fountain would be perfect. Table top fountains can literally be placed anywhere in any room and are just as beautiful as wall fountains. There is an indoor fountain for any space.
As well as other styles you can get a classic look as well as modern. There are hundreds of styles that you can choose from. They are most commonly made from stones, bamboo splits, glass, pebbles and sea shells.
Though I wouldn’t advise it, for a very long price tag you can even have a custom water fountain made for you. They can cost anywhere from $1,000-80,000 but you can find beautiful fountains for less the $500. It’s mostly large companies that have large custom wall fountains made. You know, something with their logo on it. That kind of thing.
And for those of you who are just slightly interested in adding a water fountain to your home: let me tell you, fountains will lift the mood of your household, they will brighten up your house will sparkling light and the tinkling noise of splashing water. Whether it’s a table top fountain or a wall fountain, they are beautiful scenery objects and are wonderful to have.
Indoor water fountains are good for you! Don’t count them out as an option before you’ve taken a look at them.
